Computer Tech Explore - HTML - Students continued learning about HTML and developing their own webpages using Davesite.8th Grade Math - The five homework problems from Friday were solved together at the beginning of class. DIfferences were discussed and a sample problem was solved to again model the correct way to solve finding the volume of a cone. The daily assignment was given, find the volume of a cone. Problems 16 - 21 of the Finding Volume of Rounded Shapes packet is the homework.
8th Grade Science - The measurement lab from Friday was reviewed and the importance of filling in a data table, being accurate with measurements, and showing your work were discussed. The daily assignment (Wirligig Challenge) was given along with instructions. Students were then given time in class to work on the assignment. Students will be given time at the beginning of class tomorrow to finish.
7th Grade Science - This class was given a measurement lab in which they had to measure the height of a classmate in cm, mm and meters. They also were asked to use a balance and measure the mass of a pencil, rock, beaker, beaker with water and some other measurements. The activity will be discussed tomorrow in class.
