Computer Tech Explore - HTML - Students continued learning about HTML and developing their own webpages using Davesite. Friday we will conclude building websites.8th Grade Math - Yesterday's assignment was corrected and grades entered. A discussion including the formula for find the volume of a sphere followed along with a few sample problems. The daily assignment was given and students had the remaining time in class to work on the assignment. HW - 22, 24-28 & 31 from the Volume of Rounded Objects packet.
8th Grade Science - Data tables were discussed as the importance of collecting data to support a scientific claim. Students then had the remainder of class to continue working on the Wirligig Activity and collecting data while modifying one variable at a time.
7th Grade Science - The measurement activity from yesterday was discussed along with selecting appropriate units based on what is being measured, being accurate and precise with measurements, and converting units correctly. Students were given another measurement activity and introduced to the term "Claim" as it relates to science and making a claim base upon observations and supporting your claim with evidence.
