Computer Tech Explore - Digital Photography Editing - Students had time in class to continue making projects using photos they have taken and edited. Yesterday students used an online resource to create a magazine cover and movie poster. Today students had time to finish those if they needed to and were also given an assignment to create a motivational poster.Pre-Algebra - Evaluating Roots. Yesterday students were shown how to estimate the square root of an irrational number to within one decimal place. Yesterday's assignment was 9 problems from the handout and they had most of class to complete it. Today we discussed and reviewed those problems and then students were given two worksheets for the daily assignment that is an assessment of everything covered in class this week. With the 7th & 8th grade field trip tomorrow the assignment is due Monday October 26th. HW - square and cube root worksheets.
8th Grade Science - Matter. Yesterday students took notes regarding Matter in Motion to give them the background knowledge and understanding leading into today's activity. Today students were given an online resource that enables them to experiment with changing the temperature, pressure and volume of a gas and see the ending results. Students were also given a worksheet to complete along with the activity. NO HW
7th Grade Science - Classifications, Microscopes and Cells. Yesterday students took notes on the parts of a compound microscope. Today students got to use a microscope to explore how to operate the microscope and observe how specimens are viewed. NO HW
