Computer Tech Explore - Students continued working on their websites by learning the basics of HTML in a self paced manner using Davesite, watched a video on HTML and were given an introduction to the HTML unit and shown example websites to model what they will be learning over the next 3 weeks.
Pre-Algebra - Scientific Notation. The homework assignment from yesterday was corrected and questions were answered by solving problems on the board. The daily assignment was given and students had time in class to complete and work on the Scientific Notation WS in which students have to convert standard form numbers to scientific notation and vice versa. HW - Scientific Notation WS 1-20
8th Grade Science - Density. Students were given time in class to complete graphing and answering questions from the Density of Water Lab. Questions were then discussed as a whole class. A new lab was given in which students predicted and compared the density of clay to wax making sure both samples held the same volume. Students had to find the mass of each sample and then calculate the density. NO HW
7th Grade Science - Classifications, Microscopes and Cells. To help study and prepare for the test students split into teams and competed in a Jeopardy style test review. HW - study for the upcoming test on Cells, Organelle Functions, Classifying Living Things, and Microscopes
