Computer Tech Explore -  Today students began working on their websites by learning the basics of HTML in a self paced manner using Davesite, watched a video on HTML and were given an introduction to the HTML unit and shown example websites to model what they will be learning over the next 3 weeks.

Pre-Algebra - Operations with Exponents.  Students were given a new packet with examples and problems for Operations with Exponents.  Examples were given and discussed for solving Multiplying Exponents with the same base, Dividing Exponents with the same base and a Power to a Power.  Students also watched a short video which modeled solutions for each of the three problems.  Problems 1-15 were assigned and most students finished in class.  NO HW

8th Grade Science - Matter Phase Change Lab.  Students continued working on the phase change labs which they began working on yesterday.  Today students conducted the labs and recorded their observations.  NO HW

7th Grade Science -  Classifications, Microscopes and Cells. The assignment from yesterday was corrected in class.  Students were then given a Cell City Analogy WS in which they had to identify the cell organelle given its description within a city.  Student also were asked to come up with their own Cell Analogy, some ideas discussed in class; city hall, house, ski are, prison, etc.  Students were also given a list of organelles and their definition which they could use to create flashcards to help with studying for the upcoming test.  HW - finish Cell City Analogy WS and making flashcards if not completed in class.
