Computer Tech Explore - HTML and Web Design - Using Davesite.com and a text editor (Notepad) students starting learning at their own pace to create their own website.
Pre-Algebra - Graphing Functions - Yesterday's homework was corrected and discussed. Similarities and differences were discussed between functions, which functions were linear and which functions were quadratic. The daily assignment was given and sample problems were modeled. Students ran out of time in class and were instructed to attempt the homework as best they can and come to class tomorrow with questions. Some time will be given in class to ask questions and complete the assignment. HW - finish the assignment as best as possible and prepare questions for class.
8th Grade Science - Matter & Solutions - The Reading Guide from yesterday was corrected. Students who completed it for homework received credit and students who were irresponsible and did not complete the assignment did not receive credit. A new lab was given and students observed an animation how water molecules are attracted to the ions of a salt molecule to break it down. Students then worked at creating a model to demonstrate understanding of the attraction of ions for dissolving salt in water. NO HW
7th Grade Science - Evolution - We finished going over the study guide and students had time in class to study, review, ask questions and prepare for the test tomorrow. HW - study for the Evolution Test tomorrow.
