Computer Tech Explore - Digital Photography Editing- Students were introduced to three free online photo editors. Fotor, Pixlr, and PiZap. The students were asked to use one, upload a picture and make some minor changes to saturation, color, etc.Pre-Algebra - Rational & Irrational Numbers. Class began with a video to review Rational and Irrational Numbers. A discussion followed along with examples for identifying square root numbers as rational or irrational. Students were given a handout with notes, examples and practice problems. Students were asked to complete problems 1-12 in class. Before class ended these problems were corrected and discussed as a whole group. NO HW
8th Grade Science - Matter. Today students were given a survey and asked to define "Pure Substance" and "Mixture" as well as providing examples. Several students volunteered their definition and those were written on the board to come up with one good definition for both terms. Students also contributed to a class discussion on how they can identify a pure substance from a mixture and how they could separate mixtures. These strategies will be put into place during an experiment tomorrow. NO HW
7th Grade Science - Life Science. Students continued working on the Living vs. Not Living Lab from yesterday, taking and recording their observations as they considered the characteristics of living organisms. NO HW
