Computer Tech Explore - Students continued working on their websites by learning the basics of HTML in a self paced manner using Davesite, watched a video on HTML and were given an introduction to the HTML unit and shown example websites to model what they will be learning over the next 3 weeks.
Pre-Algebra - Negative Exponents. The homework from yesterday was corrected and collected. Students were given a new packet with descriptions and examples for Negative Exponents. The term "reciprocal" was introduced, defined and discussed. Several sample problems from the daily assignment were solved on the board. The daily assignment was given and students had time in class to ask questions and work. HW - Negative Exponents 1-30 from packet, homework if not completed in class.
8th Grade Science - Matter Phase Change Lab. Students (groups) gave their presentations from the Phases of Matter Lab completed earlier this week. NO HW
7th Grade Science - Classifications, Microscopes and Cells. The Organelle Function WS from yesterday was corrected in class. This assignment was not graded, the students were informed the purpose of this assignment was to act as a study guide for the upcoming test next week. Today the students were given another assignment to help summarize characteristics of living things and act as another study resource. Before leaving class students were allowed to compare their answers to the answer key, so they have the correct answers to study from over the weekend. HW - study for the upcoming test on Cells, Organelle Functions, Classifying Living Things, and Microscopes
