Computer Tech Explore - Coding - This will be the last week on learning to code and create pictures and animations through Khanacademy Intro to JS.
Pre-Algebra - Pythagorean Theorem. The Pythagorean Theorem WS from Friday was corrected and collected. Students were given 4 problems in class to solve with specific instructions on expectations for showing work. After a short time for students to solve independently these problems were solved and modeled on the board. The daily/homework assignment was given and students were given time in class to complete the WS in which they have to use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the length of a missing side, given two sides and a right triangle. NO HW - if finished in class
8th Grade Science - Atoms and Periodic Table. Students were given handouts for a new project in which they will select an element and create a 18 cm, 6 sided "baby block with information about their element. Several handouts were provided including project outline, rubric, template, notes sheet and organizer to assist students with completing the specifications for each side of their block. NO HW
7th Grade Science - Cell Processes, Chemical Compounds and Cell Environment. Students continued working on the Photosynthesis/Respiration project (song, skit, story book, flip book, or game board) they started Friday to compare, contrast and explain the process of respiration and photosynthesis. NO HW
